Who we are SIPS Directory (the “Platform”) is operated by ROCKIN YOUR SOBER LIFE, 26 Cardinal Ave, West Sand Lake, NY 12196 (collectively, “SIPS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). You can reach us at support@sipsdirectory.com.


1) Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our website, listings, directory services, SIP Tips, partner/advertiser tools, forms, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). Your use of the Services is also subject to our Terms & Conditions.

2) Information We Collect

We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use the Services, and from third parties.

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account & Profile: name, email, phone (optional), role, organization, password.
  • Business Listings: venue/brand info, addresses, menus, photos, logos, service categories, distributor or inventory notes.
  • Transactions: plan tier, subscription status, billing name, billing email, and payment confirmations (we do not store full card numbers; payments are handled by our processors).
  • Submissions & Support: SIP Tips, comments, survey responses, messages, and support requests.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Usage & Device Data: IP address, device type, browser, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, crash/error logs.
  • Cookies & Similar Tech: identifiers that help us remember preferences, secure accounts, analyze traffic, and measure marketing. See the Cookie Policy below for details.

2.3 Information from third parties

  • Payments & Fraud Prevention: payment processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal/GetPaid) for payment status and limited billing details.
  • Analytics & Ads: analytics and ad platforms may provide aggregated insight (e.g., referral source, campaign metadata).
  • Public/Partner Sources: social media pages, public websites, and distribution partners confirming product availability.

3) How We Use Information

  • Provide, secure, and improve the Services;
  • Operate and verify Listings, badges/decals, and SIP Tips;
  • Process payments, subscriptions, and renewals;
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support;
  • Personalize content and measure performance (analytics);
  • Run affiliate/sponsored programs and track referrals where applicable;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and violations of our policies;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4) Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Contract (to provide the Services);
  • Legitimate Interests (to secure and improve the Platform, prevent fraud, measure performance; balanced against your rights);
  • Consent (for certain cookies/marketing where required);
  • Legal Obligation (tax, accounting, compliance).

5) How We Share Information

We may share personal information with:

  • Service Providers/Processors: hosting, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, customer support, security, and operational tools (bound by contractual confidentiality and processing terms).
  • Business Partners: affiliate/sponsored partners, but only as needed to run programs you engage with.
  • Legal & Safety: to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights, safety, and property.

We do not sell personal information for money. Under some state laws, sharing for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “share.” See Section 9 for opt-out rights.

  • Account: you may update certain info in your account or by emailing support@sipsdirectory.com.
  • Marketing Emails: use the unsubscribe link in emails or contact us.

7) Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by data type (e.g., billing records are typically kept for 7 years to satisfy tax/accounting laws).

8) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, logging). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9) Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction/objection, and opt-out of certain processing (including targeted advertising or profiling). You can make a request at support@sipsdirectory.com.

  • California (CPRA): you may request access, deletion, correction, and to opt-out of “sale/share” for targeted advertising. Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link or email us. We do not knowingly sell the personal information of minors under 16.
  • Virginia/Colorado/Connecticut/Utah and similar laws: you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising. You can appeal a decision by emailing support@sipsdirectory.com with subject “Appeal.”
  • EEA/UK: you may contact your data protection authority. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

We will verify requests and may deny unfounded or excessive requests as permitted by law. Authorized agents may submit requests with proper proof of authorization.

10) International Transfers

We operate in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. and other countries that may not provide the same level of protection. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

11) Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.

12) Third‑Party Links & Services

Our Services may link to third‑party sites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies; we are not responsible for them.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., by updating the date, posting a notice, or emailing you). Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the changes.
